Description and outcomes

EVENT DESCRIPTION

The **Six Days Skilling Programme on Machine Learning and Data Analytics Using MATLAB** is designed to provide participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in applying machine learning and data analytics techniques using the MATLAB environment. The programme aims to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications through a structured combination of expert sessions, demonstrations, practical exercises, and guided activities.

The programme will introduce participants to the fundamentals of **data pre-processing, data visualization, feature selection, statistical analysis, classification, regression, clustering, and machine learning model development** using MATLAB. Participants will also gain exposure to MATLAB tools and workflows for analysing datasets, developing predictive models, evaluating model performance, and interpreting results.

Through hands-on training and application-oriented exercises, participants will develop the skills required to work with real-world datasets and implement appropriate machine learning and data analytics techniques. The programme will also encourage participants to explore the use of MATLAB for **engineering, research, automation, signal processing, healthcare, and other interdisciplinary applications**.

By the end of the six-day programme, participants are expected to have a stronger understanding of machine learning workflows and the ability to apply MATLAB-based analytical techniques to solve practical problems and support research and innovation.
