Description and outcomes

This session aims to provide students with a strong foundation in Python programming and problem-solving techniques. Students will learn Python syntax, variables, data types, operators, expressions, input/output, type casting, and modules. The session will cover conditional statements, loops, functions, recursion, lambda functions, and variable scope. Students will explore lists, tuples, dictionaries, sets, and strings for effective data handling. The session will also introduce file handling using text, CSV, and Excel files. Students will gain an overview of Python libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Pandas, Seaborn, and Scikit-learn. Hands-on exercises will strengthen programming, data manipulation, and problem-solving skills.
