Description and outcomes

This six-day Faculty Development Programme is designed to provide participants with comprehensive hands-on exposure to Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson Nano, and MATLAB/Simulink for embedded systems, IoT, computer vision, artificial intelligence, and real-time control applications. The programme will introduce the fundamentals of Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Jetson Nano, followed by practical sessions on hardware interfacing, sensor integration, data acquisition, image processing, and AI-based application development. Participants will also learn how to establish communication between these embedded platforms and MATLAB/Simulink for modelling, simulation, algorithm development, and real-time implementation. The FDP will follow a concept-to-implementation approach, combining theoretical sessions with guided hands-on experiments. Participants will develop and execute practical applications involving sensors, actuators, computer vision, machine learning, and real-time data processing.

Key outcomes

• Participants will be able to interface sensors and develop an application program using Raspberry Pi and Jetson Nano with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Participants will be able to develop and deploy real-time AI and IoT applications.
